But fear not! In this article, we give you the best student neighborhoods in Bordeaux ! 🤝🏻
Talence centre
Talence Centre is the favorite place of choice of students and knowing that it takes only 12 minutes to go to Bordeaux’s University, it is no wonder! There, there are a lot of apartments designed especially for students.
As it is near the university, you have easy access to CROUS restaurants & university libraries, which can be a lifesaver during exam periods. 📚
This neighborhood is also pleasant to live in because there are a lot of different parks and gardens to take a walk, relax, or even study under the sun! ☀️
VICTOIRE
The neighborhood of Victoire is also one where many students choose to live and it’s no surprise! It is a very lively area with many bars and places to party. As it is in the city center, there are a lot of activities to do there, delicious places to eat in, and shops! 😍
Our favorite thing about Victoire is that there is the Marché des Capucins opened every day from 6 am to 2:30 pm: the best way to buy fresh vegetables, fruits, or meat!
What’s also great about Victoire is that the Tramway B stops there and goes to the University! You can be at school in 20 minutes, sounds great right? 😉
Saint michel
Situated near Victoire, the neighborhood of Saint Michel is also a great area for students! It is, like Victoire, near a lot of restaurants, shops, cafes, and bars. Plus, it also has its own market: the Saint Michel Market opened every Saturday and Monday mornings! 🫶🏻
The distance to Bordeaux’s University is a bit longer, but still feasible: you have to count between 30 and 35 minutes.
LES CHARTRONS
The Chartrons is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Bordeaux. With its breathtaking streets, relaxing atmosphere, and awesome craft & antiques shops, you’ll love it here! The Chartrons area is situated near the Garonne river, making it the perfect place for summer walks. ☀️
There, you can have easy access to two different tramways: the tram C and the Tram B. Thanks to the tramway B, it takes only 40 minutes to go to the University.
